Jon Hacket
Bible 6-8
Jon has a BA degree from the University of South Alabama in Mass and Interpersonal Communication. Over the past 15 years, he has been involved in the work of the church in both local and foreign missions. Jon has worked as a full-time associate minister for the Azalea City Church of Christ in Mobile, Alabama; a full time youth minister for the Woodland Trace Church of Christ in Jasper, Alabama; a full time Youth Minister, interim Campus and Pulpit Minister for the Central Church of Christ in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and as the Involvement Minister with the Withamsville Church of Christ in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Ohio, Jon became certified through the Youngstown Peace Officers Academy as a Law Enforcement Chaplain and worked with two different police departments as their on- call Police Chaplain. He has worked and continues to work in the mission field with the Nairobi Church of Christ in Eastleigh, the Christian technical bible college Kenya Christian Industrial Training Institute, and as state side liaison for his uncle, Berkeley Hackett, through leading campaigns and helping raise funds and support for the work in Kenya, Africa.
Jon recently moved back to Alabama and has stepped back into the role of Youth Minister for Azalea City Church of a Christ and as one of the Bible teachers for Mobile Christian School. Jon's responsibility at MCS is to teach the 6th - 8th grade Bible classes. Jon is married to Rachel Fetner. Rachel is a native of Mobile, Alabama, a University of Alabama graduate, works as a Special Needs Assistant, and is completing her Master's in Education from the University of Mobile. Jon and Rachel have two beautiful young daughters, Emily Christine, age 11, and Catherine Grace, age 7.
