Jeannie Aldred

In 2007 I became part of the Mobile Christian faculty. I think math rocks! I was born in Washington, D.C., but after moving around some grew up in Tupelo, Miss., where I graduated from high school. I received my Bachelors Degree in math from MUW, and my Master's Degree in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University, where I met the love of my life. My husband and I are members of the Regency Church of Christ. We have been married 32 years and have 1 son, who works as an architect in Mobile.
I taught my first math class in 1976. I took a brief turn as a research scientist at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. I have taught in 5 states, in Christian and public schools, and in middle school, high school, and college. I love math at all grades and venues.Most recently I was teaching at our sister school, Pikes Peak Christian School, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where we lived for 16 years. Since my husband retired, we moved here where I have many relatives, Two of my relatives teach at Mobile Christian: Sharon Harbin is my sister, and Mrs. Cathy McGaughy is my niece, so for us Christian education is the family business.
