David Pahman

Headmaster

I am enjoying my fifth year at Mobile Christian School. Besides serving as Headmaster, I also serve on the Board of Commissioners for the National Christian School Association.

I grew up in Town Creek, Alabama and graduated from Hatton High School. I received a B.S. degree in Secondary Mathematics Education with a Minor in Bible from Faulkner University in Montgomery. I received a M.S. in Mathematics Education from Troy State University. I then received a M.S. endorsement in Educational Leadership (Administration) from Troy State University in Dothan.

I started my teaching career at Goshen High School, where I taught all levels of mathematics in grades 7-12 while coaching basketball, football, and cross-country. While teaching, I served as the President of the Pike County Teachers Education Association, a representative to the AEA Representative Assembly, as well as the National Education Association Representative Assembly. I then served as the Assistant Principal and Assistant football coach at Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery. We then moved to Mount Dora, Florida, where I served as the Secondary Principal and later Headmaster of Christian Home and Bible School.

I am thankful to have our whole family here at the school. My lovely wife Sarah also serves on the staff at MCS in the business office. We have two daughters Hannah and Leah who are in the 7th and 4th grades. In my "spare time", I enjoy cycling, hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with my family. Our family attends the Regency Church of Christ.

I believe that to have a part in Christian Education is one of the most important missions in the world. I enjoy having a part in those "teachable moments" with both children and adults, especially when those moments bring the student and teacher closer to God. I am excited about the many improvements that all families are helping to achieve at MCS.
