We know these are unprecedented times. Because of Covid-19, we also know that many are concerned with returning to a school campus. That's why we are excited to announce Virtual & Hybrid Learning for the 2020-2021 school year!

The first day of school for all students (K3-12th) is Monday, August 10th.

WHAT IS VIRTUAL & HYBRID SCHOOL?

Virtual School

This option is for the students that plan on staying in the virtual program for a minimum of four weeks. This option may be chosen because of fear, health risks, or family health risks.

Hybrid School

This option is for the students who desire to be on campus in the traditional format, but find themselves in a temporary situation (from one to four weeks) that they feel it is best to be at home for a period of time. This may be because of exposure, family exposure, a positive COVID test, or even a fear of exposure. This option should not be for vacation or casual preference.

MCS feels strongly that the best instruction is the traditional option to attend school. The virtual or hybrid option is a temporary option due to the COVID-19 situation. Students that choose one of these options will only be able to participate in athletics or extracurricular activities when they have attended on-campus learning for that day. Students will be expected to stay at the same pace and complete at least the same work as the traditional students, if not more. The virtual/hybrid options require reliable high-speed internet, a webcam, and a digital device.
