FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

 

* Is there a required entrance test?

        Entrance tests follow the interview and help ensure that each child accepted to MCS has an

        opportunity for academic success.

 

* Is there an application fee?

        There is no application fee.

 

* What is the age requirement for PreK and Kindergarden?

        Children must reach age 3, 4, 5, or 6 respectively by September 1.

 

* Is there a registration deadline?

         No.  Mobile Christian School has a rolling registration.

 

* Is there a transfer deadline?

         Mobile Christian School accepts transfers up to the 3rd quarter.  The exception to that: 12th 

         grade transfers are not accepted after 1st semester.

 

* Is there a discount for multiple children?

         Yes, there are discounts for multiple children in a family.  Be sure and look under Tuition & Fees 

         for more information.

 

* What are the school hours?

         The call-in bell rings at 7:40.  Warning bell is at 7:53, homeroom bell rings at 7:55 and the

         dismissal bell rings at 2:50 for the lower elementary, 3:00 for the upper elementary and 3:13 for

         the secondary.

 

* Who handles the lunch?

         We are proud to have several lunch selections for the students to choose from this year. 

         Monday is Chick-fil-A day.  The students choose from a Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Nuggets,

         or a Chef Salad.  Students have the option of milk, punch, sweet tea or lemonade throughout

         the week. 

         Tuesday through Thursday hot lunches are catered by Picadilly Cafeteria.  Students may

         elect to have a sub sandwich provided by Firehouse Subs.

         Fridays are generally PTFA Pizza Day with pizza delivered by Papa Johns.  There are times

         through the school year in which various school organizations will provide the lunch as a

         fundraiser.

         Of course, students always have the option of bringing their lunch from home.  We have

         warmers and a refrigerator on campus for this use.
