Academy Night will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27  from 7pm- 9pm, in the Dr. Monte L.
Moorer Theatre at St. Paul's Episcopal School.  The purpose of Academy
Night is to emphasize the educational opportunities available at the
distinguished United States Service Academies and to provide information on the
requirements and procedure for seeking a congressional nomination.  Mrs.
Brooks Chew in Rep.  Jo Bonner's Mobile office is coordinating the

*** Wendy's Heisman High School Scholarship:
Men and Women entering their Senior Year of high school in the 2011-2012 academic year who have at least a "B" average and participate in at least one school-sponsored sport.  Applications  are due  OCT. 2. Please go online to www.wendysheisman.com, login and follow the instructions. Applications are due no later than 5pm Central time on OCT. 2. If at least 5 MCS students submit completed and reviewed applications, MCS will qualify for a chance to be awarded $500!

The Alabama Law Foundation offers a "Kids' Chance" Scholarship to students who have had a parent killed or permanently and totally disabled in an on- the- job accident. Deadline for applying is May 1. See Mrs. Butts for more info.

Sept. 25- Mississippi State Univ. Scholars Day- for high school seniors who have made a 25 of ACT. Limited number may attend. See Mrs. Butts for more info. Fall Preview day will be Oct. 10 and 14 for juniors and seniors.

Go Daddy.com Bowl Scholarship- please go to www.godaddybowl.com and complete the application.  They will be honoring 2 students each week until the end of Nov. Applications will be accepted until Oct. 3^rd.  Please see Mr. or Mrs. Butts for more information.

Any students who are interested in attending Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn or Stanford, are invited to an information session on Wednesday, October 5 at 7:30pm at the Battle House Renaissance.
